In our ORT division based in Guadalajara we are looking for a highly motivated
Embedded Software Engineer. For our Robots Software Development Teams, located in Guadalajara, Mexico, supporting our global teams, we are looking for a high-potential test automation engineer for to build and support teams testing software and hardware platforms. Responsibilities Develop and test embedded C and Python code Contribute to the development of automated test frameworks. Contribute to other software-related engineering activities such as build systems, documentation, validation and verification Contribute to customer support as it relates to software bugs and new feature development Job Requirements BS or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Computer Engineering, or similar 5 or more years of C/C++ development experience for embedded systems Good understanding of various aspects of embedded systems: SoC, microcontroller architecture, board block diagrams, board schematics, register maps, linker scripts, real-time operating systems, etc. Experience creating and verifying software requirements. Linux, Python, and Git proficiency English language fluency Nice to Have Previous experience with cybersecurity and/or functional safety standards: IEC 61508, ISO 13849, IEC 62443 etc. or experience developing software for regulated medical or aviation applications Previous experience with robotics and/or electrical engineering Experience with Yocto, EtherCat, or wireless networking (802.11) Live the OMRON experience and shape the future with US! ‘Omron is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
