The role We’re looking for Full stack javascript engineers to join our product engineering team to help us build features that engage our customers and bring to life an asset that has a meaningful impact on people’s livesHere are some of the things you’ll help us with:Building features on our website and mobile apps that delight our customers and help them to reach their savings goalsImproving the maturity of our technical stack and infrastructure with engineering best practicesCollaborating with members of the product and design team to continually refine and improve our product in an agile process.Being part of the code review process and pairing with other engineers to solve challenging technical problems Skills and experience:We use the following toolset:React (next.js)Javascript/TypescriptGraphql Cypress + JestAWSPrismaWe’d love to hear from you if:You have at least two years of commercial experience working as a full-stack engineer.You relish the idea of working in a small but very talented team who are quick to help out and support each other.You enjoy working in an agile, collaborative process alongside people from other teams in the business. Our processes and tools are designed to include remote employees equally. We’ll make sure that you’re set up with the right equipment so you can work from home comfortably. We have a private office in London at Uncommon Borough, a large co-working space with all the perks and more plants than a garden centre. It’s a great space if you want to come into the office and meet other team members. We are happy to hear from candidates outside the UK based in either GMT or CET timezones. Our application process We’ll have a very quick introductory call to properly introduce you to Penfold, find out more about your experience so far and career aspirations, and make sure you get a chance to ask any questions you might have. The next stage would be a technical exercise using Javascript which is done over a video call at a time that suits you and lasts for approximately 90 minutes.
