About the team:

The Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) team sits within the External Affairs & Community team. We drive Robinhood’s ESG strategy, programs, and stakeholder engagement across the company. The Manager, ESG role will build Robinhood’s environmental strategy and related programs, aid in creating relevant disclosures, and play a key role in advancing our overall ESG efforts. What you’ll do day-to-day:

This position will support the development and implementation of environmental sustainability activities, including but not limited to:

  • Strategy and program creation - Build innovative sustainability initiatives that engage, enable, and drive adoption of outstanding sustainability practices at Robinhood. Develop science-based targets and own implementation plans and timelines. Ensure these initiatives incorporate the current regulatory landscape and relevant societal and equity issues.
  • Cross-functional partnership - Partner with business units (Workplace and Real Estate, Investor Relations, Legal, Finance, etc.) to implement, measure, and scale sustainability programs that align with corporate ESG goals.
  • Operations and analytics - Develop and maintain dashboards to collect and monitor sustainability data. Prepare quarterly and annual updates on progress. Partner with Communications, Investor Relations, and other teams to inform responses to external ESG inquiries.
  • Communications and disclosure - Work closely with the Head of ESG to prepare disclosures in a way that aligns with Robinhood’s Brand and meets stakeholder requirements.

About you:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years consistent track record as a sustainability/ESG practitioner, with direct experience leading sustainability projects
  • Experience in the finance industry, or related experience
  • Skilled in building and implementing scalable sustainability strategies and programs with clear impact and long-term value
  • Experience in climate or carbon reduction business strategies
  • Understanding and experience working with ESG frameworks, i.e. GRI, SASB, TCFD
  • Highly skilled in data analysis and in building sensible and efficient cross-functional processes
  • Proven record of running multiple projects in coordination with staff, consultants, vendors, and other partners in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills for high-visibility storytelling, both internally and externally
  • Ability to establish strong cross-functional working relationships across sectors, functions and geographies
  • Creative problem solving to develop collaborative solutions across diverse partners
  • Highly organized and able to build from the ground up
  • Self-directed, doesn’t need or want a lot of over-the-shoulder management; create and maintain timelines to consistently meet goals
