We are looking for a talented and motivated Quality Engineer for our FREE NOW Supply Quality Engineering Squad in Barcelona. You can join us in either one of the countries we are operating. This includes: Spain, Germany, Portugal, Italy, France, Poland, UK, Ireland, Austria, Greece and Romania and remote working where applicable. Within Supply you will not only make our processes even more convenient and frictionless and improve the customer experience, but also help shape the future of how FREE NOW supports our drivers and corporate customers and implement new solutions tailored to our growing business and development needs. The “quality culture” is part of our values and you will be working on optimising the development of qualitative software, providing infrastructure and solutions to all Supply teams. The Quality squad exists not to test our software on every release, but to help the squads get better at it. What your responsibilities would look like:Align and collaborate with the rest of the quality team to achieve our objectives (individual, squad, tribe).Coach engineers on testing practices and ensure that the quality is everyone‘s responsibility.Contribute to our projects by potentially pairing with other engineers, to improve our test automation suites and other quality aspects of the platforms.Be data-driven, measure quality and identify areas of improvement through the use of metrics.Become part of our cross-functional teams, at times, to develop their testing skills, processes and test strategy.Challenge existing solutions and tooling, build upon them to improve the developer experience, robustness, performance and testability of our apps and microservices.Pursue continuing education on new solutions, technology and skills.Share the knowledge and exchange ideas with your peers to become successful as a whole. To be successful in this role you need:To be a proactive team player with relevant experience in software testing and quality engineering.You have good analytical skills and proven experience in developing test strategies, test plans and test cases based on business requirementsYou are comfortable reading and writing code in at at least one of the following areas or similar:Android: Java/Kotlin + EspressoiOS: Swift/Obj-C + XCUITestWeb: JavaScript/TypeScript + TestCafe/CypressBackend: JVM languages + RestAssuredYou have an understanding and practical experience using CI/CD toolsYou have experience using log analysis platforms and you‘re able to explore, visualise and build dashboards on top of the log data ​And it would be awesome if you had some exposure to:Agile methodologies.Any experience with static code analysis and load / visual / contract / security testing We would expect the following from you in your first 30 – 90 days:30-60 days - ContributeUnderstand what is needed to achieve our Objectives (individually, squad and tribe)Understand how we ensure the quality of our products through automationStart participating in technical discussions, suggest improvements when possibleTake ownership of fairly complex tasks (develop e2e tests, contract tests, load and performance tests etc.)Continue asking for helpShare feedback60-90 days - PerformAcquire fully autonomy, become independent (never forgetting collaboration)Live by our Operating PrinciplesPerform!And never stop asking for help!
